Mark your calendars now for Valley Lutheran Homecoming 2018, September 24-29! The theme for the week is “Around the World.”

Students will enjoy a variety of dress-up days throughout the week. Monday is “Team Day”, Tuesday is “Twin Day”, Thursday is “Class Color Day” (seniors-black, juniors-white, sophomores-blue and freshmen-red) and Friday is “Spirit Day”. (On Wednesday students will be serving through-out the community as part of Valley’s bi-annual Service Days. No classes will be held on Wednesday.)

On Thursday night (Sept. 27) at 7 p.m. the boys varsity soccer team will host Freeland High School in their homecoming match. The junior varsity team will play before at 5 p.m., also against Freeland.

Friday’s (Sept. 28) school day will conclude with the Homecoming Pep Rally. The Grand Tailgate then begins at 5 p.m. (For a sample invitation for your group, click here.) Tailgaters can enjoy the Homecoming Parade complete with class floats and the presentation of the Homecoming Court starting at 5:45 p.m. Football kick-off is at 7 p.m. versus Michigan Lutheran Seminary with the crowning of Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.

Homecoming festivities conclude on Saturday evening (Sept. 29) with the Homecoming Dance beginning at 8 p.m. in the school gym.
