Giving to Valley Lutheran

Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of our donors.

The Annual Fund

The Valley Lutheran Annual Fund allows us to continuously invest in necessary improvements in both faculty and facilities.

Giving to the Annual Fund supports:

Student Financial Aid

Nearly one third of our students receive financial aid to attend Valley Lutheran. The Annual Fund supports students and their families who need assistance affording a quality education.

Continued Academic Excellence

As learning technology changes, the Annual Fund allows us to invest in the latest innovations in academic programs and resources. If there is a better way to equip students for their futures, we want to adopt it.

Ongoing Operational Success

Funds are also used across all necessary school operations, including maintenance, faculty development, and facility enhancements and expansions to keep up with our growing student body.

Are You Ready to Contribute?

You can support the Annual Fund by giving now! For any questions regarding the Annual Fund or for help contributing in an offline manner, please contact Director of Advancement Kyle DeWees at kdewees@vlhs.com

The Valley Lutheran Foundation

The Valley Lutheran Foundation, established in 1998, supports the long-term mission of Valley Lutheran High School by managing the investment and distribution of the school’s endowment funds.

The Foundation’s board of directors oversees the annual distribution of funds to ensure they meet the donor’s wishes and the school’s needs. The annual distribution is 4% of the fund’s value. The Foundation supports the student aid fund, the performing arts and athletic programs, as well as other operational needs.

The Legacy Circle

The Legacy Circle is composed of those individuals and businesses who have made an outright gift to the Valley Lutheran Foundation or included the Foundation or High School in a planned gift. “Planned Gifts” include charitable trusts or life estate gifts; named beneficiary of life insurance policies; named beneficiary of a will or trust; or named beneficiary of residual retirement funds. Legacy Circle members deserve recognition and thanks for their generosity and foresight. Their commitment to supporting Lutheran education is both admirable and necessary!

Business Partners

Valley Lutheran offers an important choice in the Great Lakes Bay Region: a school that teaches both excellent academics and strong moral and ethical values. Businesses that value the type of students we create are encouraged to become a Business Partner!

Several levels of partnership are available – ranging from $500 to $3,000 annual gifts – offering partners a variety of avenues to express their support. To learn more about becoming a business partner, please contact Kyle DeWees at kdewees@vlhs.com or (989) 790-1676.

Volunteering

Volunteers are an important part of our success at Valley Lutheran High School. There are many ways to get involved, from helping out with sports events to tutoring students one-on-one!

Make an impact as a volunteer:

Gameday Volunteering

Sport event volunteers take tickets, sell concessions, keep score and run our announcements! If you love watching sports or being outside, this is a great opportunity to get involved!
